Parents & Children

Seven Trees neighborhood!!!!

Reading Companion program is now back at Seventrees Library branch from 4-5 PM every Monday and Tuesday. Kids and parents can learn and improve their English skills with fun from reading and listening stories online.

The host of the program is Helen from Solari Community Center.
Helen is trilingual! She speaks fluently Spanish, Vietnamese, and English!!! She is wonderful; she had so much energy and fun at last school year's program, running back and forth from one computer station to another assisting kids and parents. How awesome!!!:) Don't miss this opportunity. It's a wonderful educational program.

For information, please go to http://www.readingcompanion.org/aboutUs.html

In support of the brave troops during this time of war, we are collecting donations. Show them you care by sharing letters and notes, toiletries and personal care supplies in travel sizes, fun stuff like playing cards, Sudoku or crossword puzzle books; and food and drink. For a list of suggested donations, please take a look at the flyer at the Information Desk. You may drop the items in the olive color bin or at the Info Desk.

ALSO, on reflection of war, the Book Clue at STLib will be discussing World War II on Wednesday October 10, 6-8PM.

Please join us to discuss the October 2007 selection of the Book Club at Seventrees Library. This collection represents a cross-section of hundreds of letters and interviews. It is more than a mere chronicle of a tumultuous time, it's history made personal by a cast of everyday people transformed by extraordinary circumstances.
